Dr. Zita Gyurkovits
Dr. Zita Gyurkovits is dedicated to the safe care and development of premature and newborn babies.
Dr. Zita Gyurkovits is a neonatologist with decades of domestic and international experience, who considers the treatment of the smallest – newborns and premature babies – her profession.
She began her medical career in 1993 with a summa cum laude diploma from the Medical University of Szeged, and has since earned three specialist qualifications: in infant and pediatrics, pediatric pulmonary medicine, and neonatology.
She has deepened her professional knowledge not only in Hungary but also abroad: she has worked, among others, in the pediatric department of the Medizinische Hochschule in Hannover and at Kuwait Medical University. Since 2010, she has been a leading specialist in the Neonatal Department of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Szeged, and she also supports the work of the TritonLife Róbert Private Hospital and the Szeged Newborn Life Saving Foundation.
During her scientific career, she earned a Ph.D. degree and then a habilitation. He is a participant in numerous domestic and international research projects, the author of more than 19 scientific publications, a regular speaker at prestigious conferences, and an active member of several Hungarian and international professional societies.
As an instructor, he shares his knowledge in Hungarian and English to medical students, residents, and fellows, and has supervised several award-winning students.
His dedication is to promote the safe care and development of premature and newborn babies.
