Dr. Bányász Zsolt

Dr. Zsolt Bányász is a recognized authority in Hungarian vascular surgery and surgery, with more than four decades of experience.

He received his general medical degree from Semmelweis University of Medicine, then passed the surgical and vascular surgery specialist exams. During his career, he held leading positions in several hospitals and clinics of national importance, including SOTE III. Surgical Clinic, Tata City Hospital, and Szent Borbála County Hospital.

Since 2014, he has been the chief physician of the Department of Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Thoracic Surgery of Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Hospital, and is also a leading specialist at the Róbert  Private Hospital.

He has been teaching at Semmelweis University for more than 26 years, where he contributes to the professional development of generations of surgeons and vascular surgeons. His area of ​​expertise encompasses the full spectrum of vascular surgery, with a particular focus on modern surgical and minimally invasive solutions for varicose veins, as well as major vascular surgery.

In addition to his expertise, his patients also appreciate his empathetic, reassuring approach. His credo: combining the most modern medical methods with a patient-centered approach for lasting recovery.
