Dr Imre Dreissiger specialises in paediatric orthopaedics with congenital foot deformities, conservative and surgical treatment of flat feet, hip screening, hip dislocation, spinal deformities (scoliosis and Scheuermann's syndrome), paediatric hip disorders, treatment of children with ICP.
He is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon at the Róbert Medikids Paediatric Centre and orthopaedic specialist at the orthopaedic outpatient clinic of the Heim Pál Children's Hospital, and was appointed orthopaedic surgeon at the Heim Pál Children's Hospital in 1995. Since 1995, he has been consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Albert Kenessey Hospital for Children, and paediatric orthopaedist at the Jávorszky Ödön Hospital, Vác, and was sports doctor of the football department of the MTK football club. From 1984 he was head of the Orthopaedic Department of the Heim Pál Children's Hospital Budapest, and before that (1977-1984) he worked at the Department of Adult, Paediatric and Traumatology of the Orthopaedic Clinic of the SOTE.
I believe it is important to screen children annually for orthopaedic conditions in order to detect early any abnormalities that parents may not yet have noticed.
