Dr. Emőke Csupor
I graduated from Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1980 with a summa cum laude qualification. My specialist examinations are as follows: internal medicine (1985), endocrinology (1992), family medicine (1997). I have been a qualified sonographer since 2012. I defended my PhD in 2005. Since 2010, my second diploma in healthcare management has also helped me in my medical work.
I worked at the Department of Internal Medicine of the Szent János Hospital for ten years, then in 1990 I was employed at the Health Service of the Buda Castle Municipality, where I work as an internist-endocrinologist and family doctor. Since 2004, I have been the head of the Osteoporosis Center there. In accordance with my professional qualifications, I also practice in several private practices.
Since 2014, I have been working as an endocrinologist and internist at the Budaörs Health Center.
My research area is osteology-endocrinology, and my scientific publications include 5 book chapters, 26 communications, 120 lectures, and 86 citation-worthy abstracts.
In 2001, I received the “Outstanding Scientific Work” award from the Semmelweis University Doctoral School PhD Science Days, in 2002, the commendation of the Minister of Health, Social and Family Affairs, and in 2013, I was awarded the “Astellas Award – Doctor of the Year 2012”. In 2014, I received the Mayor’s Commendation of the Buda Castle Municipality and the Medicina 2000 Lecturer Award.
As part of my social activities, I am the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MOOT and the national delegate of MOK.
I believe that doctor-patient encounters provide important information for both parties, giving the patient a chance for recovery and the doctor the joy of healing. It is my constant endeavor that those who contact me receive some "take-home", "implementable" advice regarding their condition, that they better understand the causes of their illness, that they can map out their recovery options, and that they recognize the importance of cooperation.
