Full introduction

Dr. János Svéd decided to pursue a medical career during his high school years, in which, in addition to his interest in biology and physics, personal experiences also played a role. His father's heart attack and its consequences led him to commit to cardiology. He received his medical degree in 1974 from the Budapest Medical University (now Semmelweis University), and then began working in the fields of internal medicine and cardiology.

During his professional career, he obtained his internal medicine specialist examination in 1981 and his cardiology specialist examination in 1986. His interest was directed towards non-invasive cardiological diagnostics, especially cardiac ultrasound examinations, and the rehabilitation of patients who had suffered a heart attack. He worked in a hospital department until 1995, after which he continued his practice in specialist clinics. His areas of expertise include the care of heart valve diseases, the treatment of heart failure, the diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias, and the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

His cardiological approach was shaped by mentors who represented the strict, patient-centered guidelines of the Gottsegen Cardiology Institute. During his career, he was mentored by János Wesselényi, and he also learned the management approach from Imre Garai.

In addition to his professional dedication, Dr. János Svéd lives an active life that authentically reinforces the importance of preventing cardiovascular diseases. He spends his free time playing tennis, playing bridge, and listening to classical music, and he himself follows the healthy lifestyle that he recommends to his patients.
