Bladder instillation is a painless outpatient procedure used to relieve chronic urinary symptoms that have not responded to conventional treatments. It is most often applied in conditions such as interstitial cystitis (bladder pain syndrome), recurrent urinary tract infections, or persistent bladder inflammation.

During the procedure, a therapeutic solution—such as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, or immunomodulatory agent—is introduced directly into the bladder through a thin, sterile catheter. The solution is typically retained in the bladder for 30 to 60 minutes and is then voided naturally.

The treatment is usually administered as a course of 6 sessions, scheduled once per week. Before starting the course, a specialist consultation is required, which is billed separately from the treatment sessions.

Bladder instillation takes place in a calm and private setting, does not require anesthesia or hospitalization, and can be easily integrated into a patient’s regular routine. Many patients experience symptom relief after just a few sessions.
