• Physical examination: auscultation, palpation, pulse measurement, targeted examination of affected organs
• If necessary:
  - Blood pressure measurement
  - Blood sugar testing
  - Performing an ECG
• Ordering laboratory and imaging tests if needed (blood tests, abdominal ultrasound, chest X-ray)
• Initiating symptom-relieving treatment already during the first consultation
• Organizing additional specialist consultations if necessary
