HAEMATOLOGY

Diseases of the haematopoietic organs used to be rare and serious, difficult to treat, with poor outcomes. This has now changed to a large extent, as the field has entered an exceptionally rapid phase of development, making malignant haematological diseases curable in very high proportions. Of course, early detection is of paramount importance for a complete cure, allowing effective treatments to be applied in a timely and appropriate manner. The adult haematology outpatient department of our clinic aims to provide effective assistance in this early detection, partly in the field of diagnostics, but also in such a way that we can safely transfer our patients to centres where their treatment can be carried out very effectively and with very good results.
