"I had my hand operated on when I was 9 years old and ever since then I have wanted to be a doctor, a surgeon. I had a moment of hesitation when I was 17-18 years old, when I flirted with a career as an athlete/coach as a fencer, but then common sense prevailed," says Dr. Szabó.
He holds board certifications in general surgery, hand surgery, and traumatology, and has completed prestigious international training programs in Sweden, France, and Japan. In 1997, he earned the European Diploma in Hand Surgery in Bologna.
In 2019, in collaboration with TritonLife Group, he established the Hungarian Hand Surgery Center, a unique institution in Hungary offering comprehensive hand surgery services with state-of-the-art facilities. Dr. Szabó’s professional accolades include receiving the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit in 2021 for his outstanding contributions to hand surgery.
